Today was Z's first violin recital! And he did great! :) He was on the program to do a bow, but his teacher had invited him to play a couple of notes of "open up the elbow" (the first variation of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star that they learn) during the encore. He has only had his violin for a couple of weeks... and just two days ago he figured out the second two notes... so, when he got up there, he played all four notes over and over. He did great! We didn't know for sure when he would stop... but his teacher was impressed because she didn't know he knew that much of that first song yet... :) You can see it below. Great job Z!

Hi Zac, We are sorry we were not able to make your concert today, but so glad your Mom posted it on the blog so we got to see it. You did a terrific job. Keep up the good work and practice.
